Meet John! Our Editor

As a writer and researcher with a long history in communications, John is a diligent writer and strategist with a desire to learn and share the genuine stories of others in order to help to make their lives, and the world as a whole, a better place in any way he can.

A 2012 “cum laude” graduate from Christopher Newport University with a B.A. in Communications, John went on to earn a master’s degree in business science at the prestigious VCU Brandcenter advertising school. It was there that he honed his love of storytelling and analyzing tasks to solve problems for others, determined to improve their well-being and motivate positive change. This drive was further honed in his time at agencies such as BCF in Virginia Beach, VA and PI&C in Brooklyn, NY, and he loves to dive in and research every aspect of a challenge, using his journalistic skills to present findings in an exciting and thoughtful manner.

Born and raised in Suffolk, VA, John spends most of his time in the Hampton Roads region. He enjoys spending his downtime improving upon his hobbies, such as drawing and model building. He frequently collaborates online with friends on independently editing and preparing English subtitles for obscure and vintage Japanese media, a passion project which lead to a dream come true when his work was officially used by Discotek Media for their home release of MegaBeast Investigator Juspion in 2019.
